Luke Kuechly Calls It Quits After Eight Seasons
Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly is officially retiring.
Kuechly, the 2013 defensive player of the year and five-time all-pro, just finished his eighth NFL season. Now, after a video was released by the Carolina Panthers, he has declared he will be officially retiring from the NFL.
As he states in the video, “I think now is the right chance for me to move on. It makes me sad because I love playing this game, I’ve played it since I was a kid. It’s my favorite thing in the world to do. The memories I have from this place and this organization and being on the field with these guys – they’ll never go away.”
We are deeply saddened by this news and wish you the best of luck with all your future endeavors Luke. You can see more on his retirement here.
