I was out with that dreadful flu bug for at least 5 days – yuck! And I will admit the worst of it is behind me now. However, if you’ve had it, then you’ll understand it will linger for a few days past when you’re feeling better.

It’s a nagging fatigue, but I think I got the answer to give me that quick hit. A ginger shot. And it’s literally a shot of ginger, mixed in with coconut water, lemon and some ceyenne pepper.

I looked up some of the benefits. According to,  ginger shots can help reduce inflammation, soothe digestive issues, and enhance immune function.  Ginger root itself helps relieve a sore throat and also kills rhinoviruses which causes a cold in the first place.

All I can say is it did something, because I got my energy back! Not to mention, the strength of that ginger and ceyenne pepper — it really opened me up! Geesh!
