Former Spartan and current Charlotte Hornet Miles Bridges may be the NBA's most improved player of the 2019-20 season.

Thus far, he has been looking the part, putting up crazy highlights! Then last night, against the Los Angeles Lakers, Miles Bridges set a new career high in points with 23 in a loss at the Staples Center.

Bridges went 8-for-17 from the field including 2-for-4 from the three point line. He also added six rebounds and three assists on one of the better performances in his career.

Since there isn’t much chance the Charlotte Hornets will defend well on the road, they must hit their shots.

They sure didn’t in the third quarter. They made just eight of their first 34 attempts from the field in the second half, allowing the Los Angeles Lakers to run away with a 120-101 victory at Staples Center.

The loss in the first of four consecutive Hornets road games dropped them to 1-2. What had been a two-point game at halftime became a 20-point Lakers lead with about seven minutes left.
