Fly Ty & Jacinda

Sundays 6am - 12pm

The Carolina Panthers head into their bye week with four straight wins, and may come out of the bye week with a healthy Cam Newton.

Cam hasn’t played since week two because of a mild foot sprain, but with QB Kyle Alien winning 4 straight I don’t know if we will see Cam back in action by week eight.

“QB Cam Newton’s foot injury has healed well and he is expected to be ready to practice after the team’s bye this week, per league source. Schefter says the Panthers will decide which quarterback gets the starting spot after Cam is healthy.

Meanwhile, Kyle Allen is now the first quarterback in NFL history to win his first five games without throwing an interception. Allen pulled out his fourth win this season on Sunday in London when he led the Panthers to a 37-26 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Panthers head coach Ron Rivera says he won’t address the quarterback question until he has to. “I’m not going to speculate on anything until I have to address that,” Rivera said. “So until then, we’re going to stay in the now, we’re going to stay focused on what we’re doing right now.”

The Panthers’ schedule will get harder after the bye week. Carolina faces San Francisco next, and the 49ers have one of the league’s best defenses this season.
