Look for pictures on your tobacco products soon.
Yep, tobacco companies may soon be required to place graphic health warnings on cigarette packages and in advertisements.
There's nothing attractive about the smell of cigarettes, and now the boxes that they are sold in will have a new some may say is a not-so-attractive look. If the FDA has it's way, these new health warnings will be placed on the front and back panels of packages. They will feature graphic warnings and a description of the health risks of smoking.
The 13 proposed warnings cover a number of health conditions. If passed, this would be the most significant change to cigarette labels in the United States in 35 years, according to the FDA.
