The largest LGBTQ festival in the Carolinas is happening this weekend in Charlotte!

The city will be LIT!!.Returning to Uptown Charlotte on Saturday, August 17th which means tons of pride all month long. Show support for the LGTBQ by hitting up the big events, the festival and parade and check out some of the other parties around the city.

The festival itself is Saturday, with the parade on Sunday. Both events are free and open to the public!

Headliner Betty Who takes the stage on Saturday evening, with opening acts MAX and TT The Artist. Asia O’Hara and Kameron Michaels, from the hit TV show “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” will also perform on Saturday.

On Sunday, catch Kristen Merlin from NBC’s “The Voice,” Persian songstress Gia Woods and Amara La Negra of “Love & Hop Hop: Miami” fame.
