It seems to be the new trend that many retailers support. The bulletproof backpacks have been flying off shelves with families willing to spend up to $300 for the protection. Office Depot is among the retailers selling bulletproof backpacks. And Amazon has jumped on the bandwagon, too. It carries one of the more popular models.
