It’s National Middle Child Day!
Inspired by a news article her grandson submitted in the 1980s, Elizabeth Walker says she wanted to create a national day to honor those children “born in the middle of families” and who sometimes feel “left out”.
Below are just a few myths about being a middle child:
- Most middle children are peacekeepers. Since they are sandwiched between other siblings, they are often obsessed with fairness and balance.
- Middles don’t have huge egos.
- Middle children have to try a little harder to “be heard” or get noticed.
Do you agree or disagree? Are you an oldest, middle or youngest child… How has your birth order impacted your personality?
