Why we love hip hop so much. A young man name Ray Wimley freestyling on the street and Common walks by and joins in.

Before taking the mic and doing his own freestyle, Common stood by and watched a street performer freestyle over a jazz instrumental being played by musicians.

During the street performer’s run, he shouted out Common, who recently dropped his new memoir, Let Love Have the Last Word.

Once the street performer finished, Common nonchalantly grabbed the microphone and began freestyling, referencing people who he saw walking by wearing a “Star Wars shirt” and “Converse,” as the street performer mentioned.

The street performer got back on the mic and he and Common spat rhymes back and forth with each other as onlookers watched.
