NC Celebrates World Autism Awareness Day

On April 2nd and every other day, we celebrate the members of our communities, families, and world who live with autism for their diversity and unique talents.

The Carolinas recognize and celebrate these wonderful people through events and fundraising.On April 2nd and every other day, we celebrate the members of our communities, families, and world who live with autism for their diversity and unique talents.Here are a few events around the area that are raising autism awareness along with raising money for research!

Strike City World Autism Awareness Day

April 2, 2019, 7:30 pm- 9:30 pm

Join together at Strike City Bowling in the Epicenter for an evening of pizza and bowling to show support for individuals with Autism on this special day!

Fun at Kinetic Heights

April 15, 2019, 7 pm- 9 pm

The team at Kinetic Heights have a great evening planned for activities including balance beams, obstacle courses, zip lines, and other activities. These events are free for young adults with autism, age 16+. Check out their event page for more details.

World Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day at Camp Royall

April 6, 2019, 10 am- 4 pm

Camp Royall in Moncure will be having special activities including bounce houses, outdoor games, hay rides, face-painting, an ice cream truck, and a lunch cookout. You can also check out Camp Royall’s facilities, including the boating pond, the playground, and the zip line. You’ll also have a chance to chat with ASNC staff, including their Autism Resource Specialists.
