Travis Scott and Big Boi Perform During Super Bowl Halftime Show
Six-time Grammy-nominated rapper-producer Travis Scott and Outkast member Big Boi both joined pop rock band Maroon 5 during the Super Bowl LIII halftime show at the Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
Maroon 5 started the Super Bowl Pepsi-sponsored halftime show by playing two songs, including “Harder To Breathe” and “This Love”. They preceded Houston rapper Travis Scott’s Astroworld-ish animated intro featuring Squidward from Spongebob Squarepants. In a black leather ensemble with army green Jordan’s the producer performed his hit “Sicko Mode ” while surrounded by fireballs. At the end of his performance, the platinum rapper successfully stage-dived into the crowd.
Maroon 5 then performed their hits “Girls Like You” (without Cardi B) and “She Will Be Loved” before Atlanta rapper Big Boi graced the stage. In true “Players Ball” fashion Big Boi came out on stage while riding in a car wearing a red Atlanta cap, a tan fur coat, and red sweat pants sans his group member Andre 3000. He performed Outkast’s “I Like the Way You Move” alongside Maroon 5’s frontman Adam Levine and Sleepy Brown.
