I was having coffee with a good friend the other day and she was talking about how she planning her exit from corporate America. She says she'd had enough and was entering my domain - sort of. She's going into the non-profit sector to work for a family member.

I asked how did she feel about it. She says she had plenty of anxiety at first but after talking to others who'd followed a similar path including me, she realized God was pointing her in that direction. She says now she has peace in her move. In listening to her, I shared with her how I knew it was time for me to transition from radio to manage my nonprofit Girl Talk. That happened eight years ago.

Like her, I had wrestled with "What am I going to do?" I knew I wasn't happy, feeling dissatisfied and discontent. I prayed alot and wasn't sure if God was even hearing me because I was so uneasy. I remember hearing a sermon from Charles Stanley who talked about how God sometimes gets your attention - He causes you to be restless and discontent. And that those feelings, although they are uncomfortable, is how God forces you to come to Him.
