So, I was watching the church drama "Greenleaf" on the OWN Network the other night and it still amazes me how fake people can be. In case you don't know, the show focuses on all the drama of the Memphis family called the Greenleafs. The Bishop and Lady Mai, as they call her, oversee a megachurch.
Anyway, they are having major issues in their 44-year marriage, but they decide NOT to let the church family know they have any issues. They literally made a verbal agreement to fake a 'happy and healthy' relationship, knowing good and well they are absolutely miserable.
That got me to thinking about how we sometime put on a facade. I've been guilty of it. And my realization of my facade came while I worked at our sister station, Power 98. You knew me as 'Diva with the Dirt'. Totally loved my job and had been doing it for a decade. It was all good. I was still doing my thing with good energy... I thought.
