Who tased Grandma?? That's the question the family of 87-year-old Martha Al-Bishara is probably asking. Reports say Al-Bishara was in a field across from her home in Georgia, with a knife cutting dandelions for an Arabic dish she was making. She was in the field of the Boys and Girls Club and a staffer saw her and called the police. The staffer says the woman had a knife and wouldn't leave. And said that the woman couldn't speak English.
When the officer arrived on the scene he says he had little choice but to use a Taser on al-Bishara when she failed to obey numerous orders to put down the knife. Ok - really?? The woman was 5-foot-2 woman!! He says it's procedure if a suspect wields a weapon at a police officer.
Believe it or not, charges against the grandma are pending. She's supposed to be in court on September 19.
