Well, the AC broke but we won't like you sweat it out!

Whether looking to save money on electricity, have a broken AC or maybe even just want to help save the environment, there are many ways to keep cool this summer.

Tips

  • Railroad or shotgun style home: screen doors on the front and back will pull a breeze through the house.
  • Blackout curtains: these will keep the sun's rays from heating up the inside, as well as a porch, which will absorb the heat from entering the rest of the house.
  • Ceiling fans: make sure they are rotating in the correct direction: For the summertime, they should rotate counterclockwise, to best pull colder air upward.

Stay cool Charlotte!
