Vittorio Zunino Celotto/Getty ImagesWho knew CVS would make a statement on how it feels about boosting confidence in women? Well, the nation's top seller of beauty products (another interesting fact) has announced it will no longer 'airbrush' photos to promote it's beauty products in store, on line and on marketing materials.
CVS says it's going to stop digitally altering a person's shape, size, proportion, skin or even eye color. It says, "We want our beauty aisle to be a place where our customers can always come to feel good, while representing and celebrating the authenticity and diversity of the communities we serve."
CVS says it's all about keeping it real and will do so by putting a "CVS Beauty mark" label on images to denote the photo's authenticity.
By the way, in case you didn't know...CVS has nearly 9,700 locations across the U.S., and is one of the largest sellers of beauty products in the country.
