Walmart Making Returns Easier And Faster – 30 Seconds
Walmart is joining the list of major companies who see the value in an app. In November, you will be able to return items that Walmart sells and ship online, via the Walmart app, in just 30 seconds
Customers can start the return process on the Walmart app. Unwanted products can be taken to a physical Walmart (WMT)store, hop in an express lane, scan a code and hand the item to a Walmart employee.
It’s clear that Walmart wants to establish itself as a digital power player, as well as establish themselves among major retailers such as Amazon. If you remember, Amazon acquired Whole Foods earlier this year, which is being called the company’s largest “untapped opportunity”.
Last month, Walmart announced it was testing a service that allows customers buying products from Walmart.com and have them delivered even if there’s nobody home.
Walmart recently acquired Parcel, a startup delivery service, as it works toward same-day delivery in New York. And it’s trying to cater to younger customers with Uniquely J, a brand for Millennials that’s being rolled out by Walmart’s Jet.com unit.
