Michael Loccisano/Getty Images for Live NationNo, say it ain't so! Cornell Haynes Jr., better known as the rapper Nelly, was arrested over the weekend in Washington state after a woman told police he raped her. The po-po took Nelly into custody Saturday after a woman says Nelly assaulted her on his tour bus.
Authorities investigated Nelly on 2nd degree rape, but Nelly was released a few hours later with no charges being filed. According to a police report, a woman called 911 at 3:48 a.m. Saturday to report the alleged assault.
42-year-old Nelly had performed at the White River Amphitheater in King County just hours before the phone call was made.
Sounds like someone could have been looking to get a little 'shine'.
