The artist was found unconscious in a hotel room in Chicago on Sunday.
According to TMZ, Lil Wayne was staying at the Westin located on Michigan Avenue at the time the incident occurred.
Despite the medical scare, his team urged doctors to discharge him so that he could still perform at a scheduled appearance in Las Vegas.
At this time, it's unclear if Lil Wayne is still in the hospital.
This isn't the first the hip hop artist has suffered a seizure, as he canceled a performance last year in Las Vegas as well after battling epilepsy.
