Theo Wargo/Getty ImagesWell, the music world's been waiting for it and Jay-Z has done it -- at midnight Thursday, he dropped his 13th studio album, 4:44. That particular cut is actually a 4-minute apology to his wife Beyonce. You know Jigga cheated on her with a 'Becky.' She talked about it on her "Lemonade" album. Now we get to hear what Jay-Z has to say.
Anyway, the hype around his album has been building for weeks. It all started back in June when he started releasing all these mysterious ads in major markets around the country. They only featured the figure "4:44." We finally found out his streaming service Tidal as behind.
Then just a few weeks ago, we started seeing this mysterious commercial pop up on TV that featured actors Mahershala Ali and Danny Glover -- only to learn shortly after it was just another ploy to get us excited about his new project.
Well, guess no more - the wait is over. If you are a subscriber of Tidal and Sprint, you got the full album when it dropped. If not, you have to subscribe to Tidal and Sprint to get it. It's part of a new partnership between the two. Smart.
