WALT 'BABY' LOVE

With over thirty years in the business, Walt 'Baby' Love has made a name for himself as one of the most talented and respected broadcasters in urban radio. A 2003 nominee to the Radio Hall of Fame, Walt, in partnership with Excelsior Radio Network, syndicates four very popular shows out of his Los Angeles studios.

Walt's "The Countdown with Walt 'Baby' Love", celebrating its twentieth anniversary, is the longest running, syndicated R&B show in radio. The Countdown is a six time winner of Billboard Magazine's award for best R&B syndicated radio show. This countdown of contemporary urban music is currently heard on over 150 stations in the U.S., as well as 75 countries throughout the world. The newest addition to our lineup of weekly syndicated programs, "The Urban AC Countdown Show" debuted in January, 2001. It currently airs on thirty Urban AC stations featuring the top twenty Urban AC songs of the week with a look back at yesterday's biggest hits. "Gospel Traxx", which Walt writes, produces and hosts, highlights the best in traditional and contemporary gospel music and is heard on over 200 radio stations nationwide as well as fifteen countries internationally. Most "Gospel Traxx" affiliates air the three hour version. It is also available in a two hour version. In addition, Walt hosts a daily, sixty second feature, "African Americans Making History Today". The feature spotlights African Americans who are making a difference in their communities, the U.S. and the world. It currently airs on over 100 radio stations.

Walt also served as Operations Manager at WVON-AM and WGCI-FM, Chicago. He has also held broadcast positions at WNBC and WBLS in New York, as well as KHJ, KMPC and KFI in Los Angeles.
