In addition to the radio shows, S.L.ICE travels around the country DJing in clubs and for private parties, blazing all the new hits and the classics.

Hobbies: I am a music lover - more than that - music is an integral part of me and who I am. I am a huge fan of classic black movies, especially comedies (Eddie Murphy, Sidney Poitier, Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor, the Wayans brothers – Damon, Marlon, Keenan and Shawn). Eating – some people eat to live, but I live to eat. I love flavorful cuisine – Jamaican, Indian, Thai, Italian, Cajun, Creole, Mexican and of course, down home soul food. When I have time, I like playing sports – softball, bowling, basketball and ice hockey (remember, I’m from St. Louis).

Favorite Entertainers: Cameo, Roy Ayers, Morris Day & the Time, Jill Scott, Doug E. Fresh, KRS-ONE, Tribe Called Quest, Bernie Mac, Cedric The Entertainer, Chi McBride, Don Cheadle, Samuel L. Jackson, the back in the day Prince (Purple Rain, Dirty Mind, Darling Nikki Prince) and the late Gregory Hines and Barry White.

Favorite TV Shows: Boston Public, Kevin Hill, CSI, Becker, Sanford & Son and Speed Racer.

Favorite Books: The Holy Bible, The Iceman Inheritance, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Tantra: The Yoga of Sex, and Message to the Blackman in America

Other Interesting Information: In addition to being a DJ, I am also a musician. I play snare, drum set, timpani, chimes, vibes and piano. Playing the timpani, I performed Handel’s Messiah with the St. Louis Symphony. I got heavily into DJing when I went to college because I didn’t have space for my drum set in my dorm room, but, I did have space for two turntables and a mixer.
