Before beginning her radio career at Charlote's V101.9, C.C. worked as a television reporter/photographer for Charter Communications/Charter Headline News and WSOC television here in Charlotte. C.C. has also worked as an English/Journalism teacher and instructor for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Wake County Schools, Warren County Schools and Gaston College. With music being her first love, C.C. jumped at the opportunity to work at V101.9 as an on-air personality. You can catch her primarily over the weekends. Whether it be late at night or during your weekend afternoon errand run to your grocery store, chances are you will hear C.C. during your weekend. C.C. also fills in for Charlotte's favorite co-worker Alysse Stewart and for Preston Miles' Love Zone when they decide to take well-deserved time off. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, C.C. pursued an English Literature degree at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. After some time, C.C. decided to obtain her Masters degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. C.C.'s varied interests include jazz music, poetry, museums, her voice over company"Spoken Spices" and classic movies. FAVORITE ARTISTS: Maze/Frankie Beverly, Stevie Wonder, the elements, Earth, Wind and Fire, jazz artist Pat Metheny and various acid and classic jazz artists. FAVORITE BOOKS and MAGAZINES: "The Purpose Driven Life", "The Catcher in the Rye" and my Essence Magazines and Oprah Magazines! PEOPLE C.C. MOST ADMIRES: all four of her parents, both moms and dads, my younger brother, Marlon Mitchell of Detroit, my former nanny, "Auntie" and those "big sister" friends, who always impart wisdom, love and support.
