We knew it would only be a matter of time before we'd say farewell to Olivia Pope. The creator of the wildly popular ABC political drama "Scandal" has confirmed after season 7, the show will come to an end.
Shonda Rhimes, who produces the show says it's time. ABC's president says the network supports her decision and that an episode count for the final season hasn't been decided yet.
In case you don't remember, "Scandal" premiered in 2012 with the tumultuous and steamy romance between Kerry Washington's Olivia and Tony Goldwyn's Fitzgerald Grant whose character was the President of the United States on several episodes.
Pope's character was inspired by real-life Washington D.C. crisis manager Judy Smith, who is also one of the go-to experts when Hollywood folks are in trouble.
