ICYMI: Chance The Rapper Raises $100,000 At His Birthday Party

The list of great things Chance the Rapper has accomplished in 2017 is beginning to get quite lengthy.

The Chicago rapper recently celebrated his 24th birthday in a major and not so typical way. Chance did have the typical huge party, however, at his party, the money that was raised was all for charity. After celebrating the start of his 24th year, Chance was able to raise $100,000.

The big party was appropriately named “Chance the Birthday” and all the money raised went to his Social Works charity. Chance posted the flyer on his Instagram to let everyone know that the party was for a good cause.

Social Works aims to inspire creativity and encourage youth to build their dreams. The money raised at the party will allow Chance and his organization to continue their mission to empower youth through the arts, education and civic engagement.

The real star of the night was probably Chance’s custom birthday cake. Chance’s cake was an ode to his favorite spot in Chicago, Harold’s Chicken Shack. The chicken and french fries on the cake looked scarily weird and almost too good to eat.

Thank God for the people in my life. I've had unimaginable & undeserving blessings in my 24 years here. I love you chicago, let's see what we can do for this world.

In addition to raising money for charity, fans seemed to have a good time and some celebrities even stopped by. All the fun went down at Paris Night Club in Chicago and it’s safe to say it was more than a success.
