Add another comma to the repertoire, Mr. Drake.
After notching three consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200, Drake’s latest “playlist” entitled More Life has been streamed 1.07 billion times throughout the US according to Billboard.com. These numbers are staggering if you compare him to Ed Sheeran’s 599 million streams and Bruno Mars’ 470 million streams, No. 2 and No.3 on the Billboard chart, respectively. More Life debuted with 384.8 million streams in the first week alone.
What’s even more impressive is the fact that Drake continues to inch ever closer to his record-setting numbers produced by last year’s album Views. The 3.48 billion on-demand audio streams is the highest total for any album in history.
It’s safe to say that Drake sits atop the hip hop throne, for now.
But beware of K-Dot lurking in the shadows. DAMN.
